Erne Gaels 1-10 Enniskillen Gaels 0-13

A draw was probably a fair result as Erne Gaels hit three late points to make it all square against a less than full strength Enniskillen in Pairc na hEirne.

Ryan Lyons, Seamus Ryder (free) and Aogan Kelm got the levelling scores as it looked like Enniskillen would prevail after leading by 0-13 to 1-07 by the 57th minute.

A well-worked goal from the returning Ultan Kelm in the 14th minute was the opening score and Enniskillen responded through a Ross Bogue point.

Seamus Ryder and Conor McShea swapped points and Barry McCann got Belleek’s last point with Enniskillen Gaels marksman Conor Love (0-02) leaving Belleek leading by 1-03 to 0-05 at the break.

The home side increased their lead to three points thanks to two fine efforts from Aogan Kelm.

McCann increased Belleek’s tally to 1-06 nine minutes into the second half with Ross Bogue and John Reihill replying for the Gaels.

Aogan Kelm and Richie O’Callaghan exchanged points midway through the second half as Belleek led by 1-07 to 0-07 but the home side did not score again for another 10 minutes as Enniskillen gradually took over and the points flowed from Reihill, O’Callaghan (0-02) Love (0-02) and McShea to go into a 0-13 to 1-07 lead.

However, a late surge from the home side saw Lyons, Ryder and Kelm get a late draw in a tie that was essentially meaningless as Enniskillen look forward to a league final date with Derrygonnelly and Declan Bonner will be hoping that eight of his injured players will have recovered for the championship by early September.

Erne Gaels boss Bonner said he was happy with the effort put in by his understrength charges.

“We have had a lot of injuries to key players all year and we will be hoping they will be fit for the championship.

“It was a decent game with both teams down a few players, but I was pleased with the way our lads came back to draw the game late on with three points in a row and again, we created goal chances but did not take them.

“It was good to get Ultan Kelm back on the pitch again and once again we had quite a few players coming in off the bench.

“Our focus is now on the championship and hopefully the injuries will have healed by then.”

Enniskillen Gaels manager Simon Bradley said a "draw was probably a fair result".

"Both teams had chances to win the game in the last five minutes.

"I thought we played well in the first hall controlling the ball into a stiff breeze.

"We gave away a poor goal but going in only a point down we were happy.

"We made a few changes at half-time with one eye on the Reserve semi-final on [last] Sunday and we were very happy that all those lads slotted in well to the team."
