Chris Kelly, Ederney
“First and foremost, we want to get out of the group. The be-all and end-all is to make it out of the group.
"You’ve got the two teams who were in the final last year, the reigning champions in Derrygonnelly, and Belleek so it’s a tough group to start with and then Devenish are a very capable team as well who have already beaten us in the league.
"It’s an extremely tough group. It doesn’t matter what group you're in, it was always going to be difficult due to the nature of the eight teams in the competition.
"But we’re looking forward to getting it up and running. Bring it on!”
Simon Bradley, Enniskillen Gaels
“I think the opening game in future should be switched, I think we should be going to Teemore.
"I think that would give that fourth-place team something to really shoot at, but our group is going to be very difficult.
"Belnaleck are getting their players back, they’ve had a poor enough league I suppose, but the last two or three games have been quite impressive, they have been scoring goals.
"Kinawley are always a good championship team, they have been for four or five years and they’ll certainly fancy their chances to get into the knockout stages, and once you get to the knockout stages, anything can happen.”
Daniel Kille, Belnaleck
"Training for us the past few weeks has been excellent, the energy and intensity levels have been increased considerably, I didn't expect any different to be honest, championship football is why most players put in the hard yards all year and you should always get that extra push in the lead up to it.
"Look regardless of what group you're in, in the Senior Championship it's never going to be easy, group games are always treated like a knockout phase as no team wants to lose.
"We have a very tough group indeed, and our opener is as tough as it gets, away in Kinawley. We will have to be at our best to compete never mind get a result.
"Our focus is on the first game and not looking ahead or in any other direction."
Barry Maguire (selector), Kinawley
“There are quite a few teams in contention with Enniskillen, Gaels, Derrygonnelly and Erne Gaels all looking likely candidates.
"It is a short sharp competition, and you need a clean bill of health in every game. Belnaleck will present quite a challenge, and they have a bit of momentum.
"All our meetings have been close affairs so far and it will not be any different this weekend. But we will need a big performance if we are to get the points.”
Declan Bonner, Erne Gaels
“Of course, Derrygonnelly and Enniskillen Gaels are the standout teams and have loads of quality and would have serious aspirations of taking the title.
"Derrygonnelly have been the benchmark for the past decade while the Gaels have been building steadily on underage success. But Kinawley, Ederney and Erne Gaels could be in the running too."
Paul Greene, Derrygonnelly
“Our goals are the same as the other seven teams, we will be trying our best to win the whole thing.
"Our group is very difficult, a local derby against Devenish, a St Joseph’s side who beat us in the league, and an Erne Gaels team who have made the last two finals and will be hoping to go one better with Declan Bonner. So, it’s going to be extremely tough.”
Marty O’Brien, Devenish
“Like everyone else, we are in this thing to win it but we’ll be taking that one game at a time so we are not looking past the first day out against Derrygonelly that’s going to be a massive challenge for us in their own back yard we’ll obviously be up against it but we will go there and try and put in a performance.
"Preparation is ongoing I suppose we came out of the league with a number of injuries and that has had a big impact on training and preparation.
"Lanty Feely, Terry O’Flanagan and Malachy O’Flanagan are all still out but hoping to appear at some stage in the groups Joe Obrien is out for the season and that is a massive blow.”
Tony Collins, Teemore
“It’s difficult surely, you have Enniskillen (Gaels) in the first game on Friday night. Then Kinawley and Belnaleck, all those teams are hunting for the championship and have a good chance.
"Look it, we’ve got there from winning last year's intermediate and we’ll not be going there to make up numbers, we’ll see if we can compete and see how we get on.”
