Devenish will head into their huge derby clash with Erne Gaels with confidence having forced a comeback at Canon Maguire Park last Sunday.
Belleek sit top of the group after their win over Ederney at Páirc na hEirne as the two sides now meet at St. Mary’s Park in Garrison, at 1pm this Sunday, for a highly anticipated affair.
Devenish always looked like a threat during last weekend’s match but joint manager Marty O’Brien admitted a lack of composure in front of the posts allowed Derrygonnelly to lead for most of the contest.
“On the whole, we done reasonably well we competed well all over the pitch just probably didn’t convert well enough up front,” he said.
“We were very wasteful at times a bit more composure we could have been coming into the final few minutes with a chance to take the two points, but, we were lucky to get the draw the way the game unfolded going into injury time four points down.
"We’d be fairly happy to come away with a point all told.”
O’Brien is expecting nothing less than a tough meeting with old foes Erne Gaels who have strengthened since their league campaign: “We’ve a huge game next week now against Belleek at home.
"It’s a massive challenge for us they’ve been going well, and I see their main men are back out playing for them so we’ll just have to see what we can do.
"We’re expecting a very tough game."
Meanwhile, Derrygonnelly will make a trip to Ederney as they look to pick up a first win in defence of their championship.
