St. Michael’s College, Enniskillen have discovered their group stage opponents for the 2024/25 MacRory Cup following the draw earlier this week.
The Enniskillen seat of learning will face St. Patrick’s, Maghera; St. Patrick’s, Cavan and St. Ronan’s, Lurgan in a group of four.
Their first game is likely to take place after the mid-term break.
Last year, St. Michael's failed to get out of their group with a final-round loss to St. Mary's, Magherafelt sealing their fate.
The two groups of five teams will have their opening games before the Halloween break.
This year will see a record number of teams competing for the coveted cup, with a total of 18. This includes three new teams.
Abbey Vocational in Donegal Town, who won the Danske Bank MacLarnon Cup in February of this year for the first time make the step up to MacRory. They also claimed the All-Ireland title in March.
They are joined by two amalgamation teams from Donegal and Derry.
The Donegal team comprises five schools from the south and west of the county from Gaoth Dobhair to Killybegs.
Cathaoir Doire is an amalgamation covering the Derry city area.
Patrician High, Carrickmacross, who lost out in the quarter-final of last year’s competition have dropped back down to the MacLarnon Cup.
